SMS appointment & review consent
Last updated: August 2026 · Public Telnyx / carrier verification evidence · Not legal advice
RemindReview is the software platform that appointment businesses use to deliver transactional SMS. Patient-facing texts name the clinic or business (for example “Northgate Chiropractic”), not a marketing brand for the patient. RemindReview operates delivery, STOP/HELP handling, and these public policies.
Verbal consent
Staff collect a clear yes at booking / intake (in person or by phone). This is the main clinic flow.
Keyword re-opt-in
After STOP, or direct text opt-in: https://remindreview.com/opt-in (START / YES / UNSTOP)
Workflow diagram (branded evidence image for carriers): https://remindreview.com/opt-in/workflow.jpg
1. What messages are sent
- Booking confirmations and appointment reminders (confirm / cancel links)
- Reschedule and cancellation notices
- Optional post-visit Google review invitations (when enabled by the business)
- HELP / STOP operational replies
These are service messages about existing appointments — not cold outreach, not purchased lists, and not general promo blasts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
2. How verbal consent is collected
Businesses collect consent verbally during normal scheduling and intake:
- During booking
- During intake
- In person at the clinic or business
- By phone when scheduling
Staff ask for a clear yes before SMS is enabled for that mobile number. If declined, no automated appointment SMS is sent. Importing a phone number from a calendar alone is not consent.
3. Sample verbal consent script
“Can we text you about your appointments at [Business Name] — including reminders, confirm or cancel links, scheduling updates, and an optional post-visit Google review invitation? Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP anytime to opt out, HELP for help. Privacy: https://remindreview.com/privacy · Terms: https://remindreview.com/terms. Is it okay to text this number?”
Only record consent after a clear yes.
4. What may be stored
- Mobile number (E.164)
- Business / clinic name
- Consent source (verbal in person, verbal by phone, keyword, staff)
- Timestamp
5. Who appears on the text
Automated messages use the appointment business display name so patients recognize their clinic (e.g. Northgate Chiropractic). Delivery is operated by RemindReview on behalf of that business. Recipients can reply STOP to the same number to stop automated texts.
6. Opt-out
Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT). Reply START to re-subscribe where supported. Or use https://remindreview.com/opt-out / privacy@remindreview.com.
